FROM THE MISCELLANEOUS DRAWER

hello tuesday! the high today is supposed to be around 80 degrees, huck is slowly feeling better (we have a doctor's appointment in a few minutes, better safe than sorry) and i am starting to remember how i have absolutely no idea how to get dressed in the summer.

okay okay okay, i have three minutes before we have to run. so here's what's interesting (this is debatable):

1. brandon and i are watching downton abbey together. i'd been pestering him to watch it with me since forever ago, but first he had to finish battlestar galactica (for the second time, nerd alert!) and then *i* had to finish vampire diaries (zomg preteen alert!), and then finally last night when huck was in bed we sat down and powered through a few episodes. i warned him it moved slow and he thinks lady mary is unfortunate looking, but about thirty minutes into the second episode brandon tapped me on the shoulder and said in a giddy voice, "i really, really like this show!"

1.5 fun fact: brandon holbrook can predict the endings to any book or movie or television show plot line, but he did NOT see the turkish dude dying in the bed coming WHATSOEVER. plus one, downton!

2. huck took five baths this weekend.

3.  that polka dot dress the other day is from ASOS! and i'm 5'2" . . . if you round up. (TWO people asked me my height yesterday)

aaaand that's all i got. xoxo and stuff!

  2. It was such a victory to get the hubs to watch Downton with me. And now he loves it just as much (more?) than I do. Great husbands and great shows FTW.

  4. Gah! I went to a place like that in chinatown once with friends and couldn't bring myself to go in. It didn't even have a store front...just an entrance in a maze of alleys. Sooooo sketchy.

  16. Haha glad you are enjoying Downton, that's how we all live/speak over here in the UK ;) honest. The thing that I was most curious about on this post was that Brandon watched BSG twice, see I bought the boxset and me and my boyfriend were addicted, but then we were totally let down by the ending, like really gutted. We gave away the boxset and it's not even mentioned anymore in our home. What did Brandon think of the ending??

  21. I'm so glad Huck's feeling a little better. Downton is on my list - my mother and sister are obsessed. I'm currently watching Friday Night Lights and bawling throughout each episode. That show sure does pull at your heart strings! That stationary in the first picture is perfect.

  29. i have been sooo pestering my husband to watch downton abbey with me... i think he has a strange resistance to watching anything with corsets that doesn't include keira knightley, and now that game of thrones is back on... well, i think my luck is out. for now.

i started watching a little series on netflix, "bleak house" - not bad, and if you haven't seen "call the midwife" yet, you should (but not unless you are okay with crying over every episode - but still so good).

  30. ah you can't beat a good dose of downton abbey. if you like that you should check out Mr Selfridge - it's already been on over here {england} but i have heard it's on in the states now. you'll love it, promise.

nowt wrong with being 5'2" when rounded up - i'm the same. we can wear heels if we want to be taller. what can tall people do? ok, they can reach stuff. granted, that's useful.
