HAPPY WEEKEND!

ohhhhh, alex. miss alex caught a cab to jfk this afternoon. boo hoo, boo hoo. as is customary, i began my sisterly duty of missing her desperately a full two hours before she actually left. you should have seen me, it was quite the spectacle. sighing dramatically in the kitchen, sighing dramatically at the duane reade (i was out of eye lashes), sighing dramatically at the playground . . .

oh well.

when it was actually time for her to go, we put her in her cab and blew her kisses up the street, huck wearing nothing but a diaper. once the last of the tail lights disappeared around the corner, i marched us inside, put some clothes on the boy, did the dishes, then sat myself down and had a little pouting. i'm going to miss my baby sister. she's a good egg.

we're going to have a nice, quiet weekend in nyc. we'll have dinner with friends, we'll go on a nice family walk or two, we'll go to church, we'll eat lots of rice krispy treats. we'll watch a few more episodes of felicity. just us (homesick) chickens. cluck cluck.

  6. i have just come home from two weeks holiday with the family. they live in central queensland and we live in the hunter valley nsw. its far away and i am battling the blues today too. why can't we all just live next door to each other always? please and thank you.

  7. I've not been home in 4 yrs. I moved to Scotland and just haven't made it back to see my 4 sisters yet. One came to visit me last summer and when I saw her face at the airport I just cried. Then all her kids appeared and I cried harder. THEN when they all left I spent a few days crying and moping around. I miss them. Now, my mama needs to come visit me and I'll feel whole again.

  9. Hope your sister is doing well now, since she's back to 'reality' in her hometown. Wishing her lots of best wishes and luck. Btw she's such a good aunt to Huck, he seems to love her alot. :)

  14. Your Sister is gorgeous, just like you! I always love when Brother comes to visit and my Sons eyes brighten up the whole time he is here :) I am sorry she had to leave already :( But maybe a Skype Date with her might be in Order, so you don't miss her too much! ;)

    Happy Weekend!

  18. oh Felicity! that show is my go-to when i'm feeling all weird and homesick-y too. i think it's the potent mix of keri russell's hair and her cozy sweaters?

  20. i know the feeling of a good friend (sister) leaving - i wish your sister the best. love is never easy, and i know she'll figure out what's best for her and whoever her future mate may be if she's anything like her older sister :)

  24. Some years ago, the same styles would have needed images, but today, you can Abu Dhabi Website Design your mock-up entirely in-browser with CSS3, generating the same effect.
