Hey all you pregnant people! GUESS WHAT.

I can eat all the sushi I want!

I can also dye my hair, eat deli meat and soft cheeses, so there!

There's more! I can eat soft serve ice cream, I can see my toes!

WHO'S THE SUCKER NOW!?!

You can take your babies, your kids, and your cute pregnant tummies, and you can SUCK IT.

THAT'S HOW I FEEL

  2. Okay, I know this doesn't help any as my husband and I tried for (whah) 11 months to get pregnant and only did after some...uh advice...but I don't think you want to know what it was we did.

    Anywho...

Just wanted to give you a hug, so here it is:

    (((HUG)))

Sorry if it made you feel weird with a stranger giving you a hug and all. :)

  3. AND you can sit in hot tubs.

(Although I had NO idea about the cruise or soft serve thing.)

As a pregnant mom - I have the feeling I'm not on your "to talk to list" - but I wanted to say that every woman that has ever tried to get pregnant (me included) has felt exactly like you wrote - we just didn't have the guts to put it in print. I even called it "fun week".

    It'll happen. It will.

  9. You can have my child! She's blonde, I know, but she makes up for it by being extra, extra sweet and cute. And she has great little cheeks that MUST be kissed.

She also has several molars coming in, which make her scream all night and which make me want to scream all night, too! So...interested? You can give her back when all her teeth are in. :)

p.s. Miss Texan: we DO want to know! Spill it!

p.p.s. I ate lunch meat AND devoured soft (pasteurized) cheeses AND dyed my hair while pregnant. All okay. Really and truly. Lunch meat is supposed to be nuked in case of nasties growing in it, but it grossed me out so much I said "Screw this" and ate it cold anyway. And it was awesome. And I was fine. So there.

  11. Natalie...not sure if I can spill it publicly...although it was recommended by my bishop and had something to do with carbonation and fermented fruit.

Please no one judge me. It was over seven years ago.

Natalie, we are thinking about TTC in the next few months and I'm terrified. My eggs are probably scrambled as a result from riding too many roller coasters (so my Daniel says). Every woman in my family has gotten pregnant from a cross-eyed look from a man, but I have a feeling it's going to take some time for me. I'm kind of excited, but I don't deal with disappointment well. We have to have faith that when it does happen, it will be the best thing ever!

Oh and I had a friend who was pregnant twice in two years and drank a soda a day and ate soft ice cream and cheese, and it didn't hurt her or the baby a bit. She did however avoid fish.

  14. I LOVE this...

Just found your blog and I love it! My husband and I have been TTC since May '08, off birth control WAY longer. Just nice to know I'm not alone. Good luck.

  15. Nat,

I've been trying to catch up on your blog, as recommended by a friend. I know you already have a kid (even though I haven't gotten that far) and this is a way belated comment, but I just wanted to let you know how much I can relate. I don't have infertility issues, but my husband and just had our sixth miscarriage. It's so frustrating, and I HATE seeing everyone walk around with their pregnant bellies and cute babies (my sisters-in-law are baby making machines).

    This post is RIGHT ON.

Don't worry, still trying to catch up on everything else.
