MAKING ME HAPPY TODAY

i am still battling off a very silly case of the funks. it's sillier than silly and yet i seriously can. not. shake it. but watching this video of ballet in super slow motion (over and over and over) has certainly helped.

  5. I just found your blog about a month ago. I too have some weird case of the funks that I cannot get rid of! Sadly, misery loves company. Anywho, your post about Kathleen Kelly's apartment made me happy...really happy ;) Anything 'You've got Mail' related seems to make me smile!

    Thanks!

  6. Generally when I get a case of the Mean Reds, I whine and throw things about until my husband notices and then wait for him to say something witty that will cheer me. Is that not how everyone does it?

PS: Oh that I were an XS and could fit into your closet sale clothing.

  8. Amazing! Glad you shared!

So I have had this funk thing you speak of. Finally went to my lady doc and brought it up with her in which she replied "I wonder what your vitamin D levels are??" after some blood work I found out I was dangerously low ( as are most women I guess). I've been on a high dose of vitamin D3 for three weeks and I'm a new woman! I feel like me again you know? All the sillys but not so sillys that i was feeling are back in check. If that means anything. I don't know the science behind this and am no doctor but I know enough about nutrition to get it. I'm not diagnosing you but from one funked out gal to another, just sayin:)
Again I'm no expert, but it has been a great thing for me. You are allowed to go through stuff, but you should know that your readers (and those two rad men you have) adore you. Thanks for writing and sharing a bit of you with us.

  10. Hi Natalie, with regards your funk, are you still nursing Huck? I read an interesting article on A Cup of Jo recently about the after effects of stopping nursing Joanna suffered, it may shed some light on your feelings....it may not!

  12. I wrote a post on breastfeeding + weaning + sad too. Even if you're not purposefully weaning, huck may have cut back enough for your hormones to be readjusting. Hope you feel better soon, reading your beautiful blog is one of my funk busters xx

  17. You've helped me out of many a funk (yes, seriously), so here's hoping you can work through this one. Funk's are the worst because they have no real solution because they usually come from unpinpointable problems, am I right? Have you tried When Harry Met Sally and some really long walks to all your favorite spots with Huck? If it helps, I hope you know that we are thinking of you...

  18. This was beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing! And maybe totally creepy, but I was in your ward on Sunday and saw you! I wanted to come say hi but didn't see you after Sacrament meeting. I love your blog and I'm sorry about the funk. It happens to all of us, big and small.

  22. I don't know if you have Netflix, but if you do, there's a documentary called "Ballerina" that you seriously NEED to watch. It follows four Russian ballerinas, and it is beautiful.
