WHAT YOU SHOULD BE BUYING AT FOREVER 21 RIGHT NOW

happy weekend! the past few weeks i've gotten a lot of emails requesting a forever 21 comeback. it made my heart swell. and hello, this is something i can do! i've got this silly idea kicking around for incorporating my intense love of styling (and shopping, shh) into the blog, but until i work out the kinks, please accept this, my humble offering to the gods of fast fashion. i do hope you enjoy.

find them here:
one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine

and two more that didn't fit in my collage nicely (rude)
here / here

and and, these aren't shoes but they're just as cute...
this / this / this / this / this / this / this / this

p.s. a word on forever 21 shoes, since i know you're going to ask: you know what, they're really comfortable. and they last, long past the trends anyway. the shoes are the forever 21's best kept secret. (i have a few forever 21 shoes i've worn regularly for more than three years now. not kidding.)

p.p.s. i was thinking i could even do more than just forever 21... any other brands you'd like me to scour for you? now taking requests! i'm, like, really good at shopping. someone should benefit from this. i was thinking sheinside might be a fun one? maybe ASOS? chime in, kids!

    1. Agreed- ASOS looks intriguing, but it is simply overwhelming. Also, have never ordered from them and not sure about their sizing?
      Other suggestions: Zappos, Zappos couture

  2. Yes!! The new collection at F21 is amazing right now, always the best gems being hidden. I totally vote for Asos, mixed with a little Madewell and sprinkle some H&M on top? I am an overzealous requester :)

  5. Definite Sheinside and ASOS :) Love these round-ups!

  6. Yes ASOS! I get so overwhelmed on their site sometimes. Can you also maybe consider a "Where YOU should be buying your slouchy tees" post? 'Cause I always fail and you seem to have secrets.

  7. Oooo, if you're looking for writing ideas, would you consider more posts like the Great Beauty Experiment ones? My toddler won't let me wander through Sephora, he yells and covers his nose (much like his father...).
    Yay Forever 21 posts!

  9. this is great! i've missed these....i would also add about f21 shoes, that they tend to be very smooth on the bottom, so invest in those shoe sticker thingies that go on the soles. it makes f21 shoes perfect!

  10. ASOS would be awesome. oh and feel free to throw some Target goodies. I've had quite a few successful clothing and accessory finds there.

  11. Thanks for your round-up! I didn't love them before, but I recently was hired at a young start up clothing company (www.belovedshirts.com) which inspired me to step up my own personal fashion again- so I had been looking for black, ankle length biker boots for awhile, and you totally saved me a bunch of time scouring the internet looking for a good deal- with the sale I got them for $11.45! Thanks Natalie!

  12. This makes me so happy, your forever21 round ups were pretty much my favorite thing ever! I consider myself a pretty prolific shopper, but I love your taste and sometimes you point out things I would have otherwise ignored. Yes to SheInside & ASOS as well!

  13. Yes to all. Natalie wore army pants and flip flops, so I bought army pants and flip flops. (Aka, your style is the shit).

  14. UH! You are the best at styling and shopping. Like I love it so much. I'm always like "Natalie Jean helped me put this one together." So I would love to see ASOS, Zara, and even Madewell if you wanted to. I know you have some incredible pieces from there.

  17. Charlotte Russe! Or Old Navy! Something us "sometimes we can get shopping on the weekends, but really who has time for that?" ladies. (also, I'm petrified of shopping online...it never works out quite right...) Thanks for taking requests! :)

  18. I bought a pair of boots at Forever 21 on a whim a few weeks ago and am SO glad I did! They are comfortable, affordable, they accommodate my wide calves, AND I've received many compliments on them.

  19. ha, i've been online shopping the past week or so and finally placed my orders today! the whole while, i was wishing you had an updated forever21 guide.. so yes, please, do more!! ASOS is a favorite; I may have to order again if you do a guide ;) xx

  20. I ordered the Western Redux Pointed Booties last week and I got to say, they are amazing. Love em. Also, I agree with ASOS. Such an overwhelming site at times. Another thing that would be awesome is if you included plus size things. I love your style but a lot of times I wouldn't be able to fit in the things you pick out :)

  21. ASOS!! I love these posts. thank you!!

  22. Has anyone ever purchased from SheInside? I LOVE their clothes, but am hesitant to buy because of some not-so-flattering reviews floating around (the word scam pops up a lot). Would love to know if people have had a good experience.

  23. Natalie! Zara! I love Zara! So much good stuff even if they're having a sale right now!

  24. I LOVE LOVE LOVE you for this! Awesome post and so helpful for those who love to dress stylishly but don't have the eye (or patience) for picking things out (aka me :) ). I think ASOS would be another great brand to do, maybe Zara or Anthropologie too. Thanks, Natalie! Love your style.

  25. love that you brought this back! i think forever 21 has just come out with a higher end leather line of shoes, are these them?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh this is awesome, Forever 21 does have some great shoes for a good price.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yep, I'd wear all of them.

  30. I say ASOS. I love their stuff but sometimes don't want to look through their 100's of pages hehe...

  31. Thrilled to see this back as Forever21 has hit London. So frustrating when i read buying guides that are US only - so thank you from the UK :-)

P.S. would love to see ASOS and H&M too..

  32. YES!! Forever 21 shoes are my favorites! Such great quality even for those of us on a budget!

    ReplyDelete
  33. ASOS is my love. maybe a bit of H&M

  34. I love when you find Madewell knock offs at Forever 21/F21 prices. Madewell is to die for, but I honestly can't afford anything at that store. Thanks for being our personal shopper!

  36. The thing that I like about the Forever 21 posts is how affordable they are. I hate reading a lot of the fashion blogs that list $300 purses or $150 shoes. That's just not going to happen for me! I also hate seeing things that I can't get where I live - I love Zara and ASOS, but they don't have any locations in Utah. I love the idea of Target, especially since they've been doing a lot of designer partnerships. It's cheap, accessible, and you can broaden it beyond fashion, should the impulse strike. I also like the idea of H&M, though the online options are a lot more limited than what you can get in store. Maybe you could create a personal shopper Pinterest board, too. Then you can add pieces from anywhere! I'd follow it :)

  37. i just love the forever 21 posts. i've purchased more than one item because of them. your blog is just my favorite, really it is. i dont' have an RSS feed or whatever people use (kids nowadays!) i come straight to ya all the time.

  38. I love your style, but have read extensively about fast fashion and the ethical and ecological concerns rampant in the garment industry. I'm personally trying to reduce my reliance (it's hard!) on the big box, fast-fashion stores. If you are so inclined, I'd love to see some posts on styling tips or tricks that support ethical/sustainable companies so that we can all learn about great places that are trying to meet a need in a way that protects workers and the earth. In New York, you likely have access to some of the best and most cutting-edge places, and not all of them are expensive! Just my two-cents. I do enjoy your F21/style posts as inspiration, even if I'm not inclined to shop at exactly the same places.

  39. Obsessed with #7 and I have ones that look like #8 (bought them in Ireland though) that I wear constantly!!! Very versatile. I agree with above h&m would be fabulous!

  44. Woohoo! So glad you decided to do this again, I have actively counted myself saying I miss Natalie's F21 reviews at least 10 times since the final one on Babble. I think F21 and H&M are great, especially for those of us who are on a state job and grad school salary. haha. Also I do have one request, since you are the beauty guru of drug store equivalents, I was wondering if you could do a review for best drug store contouring products (blush, highlighter, bronzer, and maybe brushes)? Thanks so much for everything you do and so pumped to buy your book!
