MOTHER'S DAY + HAPPY WEEKEND

my mother is in town for mother's day and we have plans to walk the entire island by foot and commit a lot of ill-thought-out flea market purchases. we have plans to see a late showing of the five-year engagement so brandon could have a boys night and watch the game with some boy-friends, and as we were discussing the evening i pointed out that it was an r-rated movie and my mom said, "it doesn't bother me, though i guess i should be a better example..."

to which i said, "mom. that ship has sailed."

way to fail on me, mom. ;)

HERE'S A VIDEO I ENJOYED THIS WEEK
(not even going to bother with graceful segues)

and now babbles! ahoy.

the stories behind my most favorite jewelry
(including my stack of wedding rings)

aaand huck's blog!

lastly, to all the mother hearts out there this weekend,
regardless of whether your arms carry babies or not:
happy mother's day!!!
take your flower from that short squeaky deacon with pride.
