FRIDAY IN THE FLAT IRON

this afternoon we had errands to run downtown near the flat iron. the flat iron just happens to be my favorite. sooooo we started the afternoon with bagels from our favorite street cart (egg and cheese for me, cream cheese on cinnamon raison for the huckster), and as i was paying the bagel guy asked if we wanted to take home some extra bagels, and i was all, are you kidding, bagel guy? duh! five bucks and a million bagels, it was like the clouds had parted and god had whispered, "this is your day, natalie!"

and then it WAS.

  1. I always thought that was a really weird looking wedge shaped building. And I made first comment!

  2. Those overalls are taking me back to my younger years. Seriously, I think half of my jean collection came in the form of overalls. I might have to work up the courage to relive those days after seeing your picks though! :)

  3. I was vehemently opposed to overalls until I saw the cobalt blue pair Liv Tyler wore in...some magazine. Still not sure how to pull them off but your post is re-confirming my 14 year old devotion to them :)

  7. It's 7:00am in Arizona right now and my husband slumbers peacefully to my right. Would I or would I not kill for a bagel right now. I leave it to you.

  12. Your beautiful blog conflicts me. 1) every time I read it I miss New York and the wonderful life I had there. 2) every time I look at your photos of little Huck I get even more excited about our baby's pending arrival in June. 3) if I hadn't left New York there would be no pending arrival.

    Ergo: conflict! :-)

  13. I have been looking everywhere for overalls! The only ones I could find that I liked were crazy expensive... who knew? Maybe I can find some in the kids section and cut them off for shorts? Hmm...

  16. I feel like running errands in such a pretty place wouldn't feel like running errands at all. Plus, who can complain when you have a delicious bagel to eat? Definitely not met! XO
