  5. I understand your dilemma! I live in a 660 sq-ft home and as I'm writing this, I feel that all the air in here has been used up throughout the course of the day. One sock on the floor and the whole apt is a mess!

  7. The rental industry in every major city is run by Satan. That's the only explanation for our pain.

  8. you know, I live in a tiny apartment too. only there's just two of us. not 2 dogs and a baby. that would be a lot harder, but you make the small apartment look fun :) plus your baby is adorable, but who am I to say anything about him?

  13. Oh, I have so been there with the forcing of things. But I have to say, after the introduction of hemorrhoids is where that statment from the Holbcensor should have come in! Ha!

  15. it's possible that i'm weird....i know...be shocked...but everytime i see a picture of your cute lil baby such as these....i make sound effects to go along with the pictures...and i hope that they are the sounds that he made, while the picture was being taken. i also like coming up with stories behind the pictures....see....i'm weird...

  16. I complain that our house (about 1200 sq ft) is too small with a husband, a ten year old son and four dogs. And by our towns standards it is a little small...but I probably just need better organization skills.

Also Huck is adorable..and seeing him just makes me want a baby that much more!!!

  17. I know it's not as "cool" as NYC, but you could always come to the 'burbs in Connecticut...

  20. Wow I thought I was the only one in the world (well my world of baby pushing friends) who had to push for 3 hrs., actually 3.5 to be exact. Woowee. That sucked. Hopefully if there's a next time for you and myself to push babies out again, it won't take that long. May luck be on your side in that respect.

  21. Before moving into our 850sq ft palace of a house, I would get frustrated (often) and yell out, "There isn't enough counter space in this kitchen!" That was the signal for my husband to run far far away, because a meltdown was imminent. The force of organization still does not run strong in me...I hope it does for you.

  22. 300 is JUST right -- Huck says so. ;) Beautiful baby!

  23. Hilarious! Way to "will" yourself into loving your 300 square feet!

  24. Wonderful! I'll take a baby Hank post any day.
Also--sometimes it's so hard to figure out when you need to push to make something happen and when it's time to let things sort themselves out. It's difficult to know which is which.

  25. I can relate! I walk around and grumble about all the empty space I see just sitting there. Luckily we didn't have to make a deal with the devil since we rent from a member. I wish they would force owners/brokers to lower prices after a certain amount of vacant time so that they don't control the market so much. Then again, this is what I've heard . . . I don't really understand it all.

  26. I think Huck is the cutest baby boy I've ever seen. On a blog, that is. Because I've never seen him or his fabulous Mum in person. Bummer. I would love to hear more about his personality. As in, what are the events that surround these delightful expressions? He looks like he's trying to tell us some stories, and I want to know what they are.

  27. omg this could be a commercial. freaking adorable.

  28. I'm a new reader, and I have to say this post was hilarious. When you wrote, 'And what happens when you force that which does not want to be forced? Hemorrhoids." I was rolling. Maybe the hardest I've laughed at anything written on a blog in a while. And as a doctor, I can attest that that is true. ;) Thanks for brightening my evening!
