THIS IS HOW YOU CELEBRATE

For Brandon's graduation present he requested lunch at Junior's Cheesecake in Times Square, because that is just the kind of dude he is.

After we finished our cheesecake (their pickles and beets are also to dieeeeee) we saw both Ben Linus and Mr. Big on 53rd street.

Cheers to my cute husband! No more school!

  6. Hi! I started reading your blog a couple weeks ago, so I am going to stop being a lurker and am going to comment! I just finished my second year of law school, so I can totalllllly feel Holbs's pain! But, wow... 10 finals seasons?!?! Tell him congratulations! PS Huck = legitimately the cutest baby ever.

hiding behind anon because i'm a coward, yes. just putting that out there before everyone else does. but, c'mon, do you really have to write about every celeb sighting? you have so many better things, more interesting things to gloat about. i love your blog, truly, but the recent bragging is about as tacky as bleubird's shameless gilt invitations.

  8. Um, gee anonymous (I totally had to look at that comment to be able to spell anonymous) I don't know about everyone else but I love hearing about celeb sightings. Sitting here in little old New Zealand it just makes me love New York all the more. Keep em coming I say! :)

  11. pscha, if I were lucky enough to actually see celebrities I would add them to my blog... ooh maybe when I get to California, it is my goal to finally see Mr. Johnny Depp in person. Only I might forcefully put my cane between his legs... ugh I'm so gonna get arrested when I get to Cali.

    Go Holbs!

  12. No way, I always want to hear about when you see AC Slater and his wonderful dimples.

  13. Huuuuuuuuuuge congrats to the Holbsinator! What an accomplishment! So many exclamation points!

    Ahem.

As for deep dimples, my brother has them and I've always kinda hated him for it. But hated in a loving way, DUH. Muhahahah.

  14. I also like to hear about any celeb sightings! It's not bragging, it's being informative!

  15. aw, i kinda like the celeb sighting shout-outs. but that's because i live in europe, where the most famous person i've seen is...........a statue that looked like president obama.

  16. Oh my gosh, I had such a crush on AC and his dimples back in the day. Swoon.

  17. Congrats to your hubs and to you (for surviving it). I'm still trying to decide if I will be able to relate to you once you are no longer poor and downtrodden like me.

    I KID.

    (I think.)

    YES, YES, I KID.

  19. YAY for your husband and yay for you for being a good wife! And, yes, that is the least you can do if Junior's was his request! (As frustrating as that was, shoot!) :)

I LOVE celebrity sightings! My daughter was just in Manhattan and spotted Mr. Big too and sent me a really blurry phone pic of him and it was awesome!

  20. Congrats Holbsfamily!
I totally do the arm smacking thing.... Sometimes too forcefully? I just get really excitable sometimes...
I too love the celeb sightings - especially when they're as cool as AC Slater and Ben Linus. I once spotted Don Cheadle from Oceans Eleven in an airport, but at the time I couldn't remember where I knew him from. Sad, that's my only sighting.

    P.S. Love your blog!

CONGRATS! And as I asked my husband when he graduated this weekend -- now what?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hahaha. Celeb sightings are WORTH IT! I just visited NYC from Utah and saw Mr Big at Knuckelheads. Yum. Pics on my page! (as wrong as that is) Wish is was "dimples" instead.

  25. congrats to the holbsgrad!!!! :)

(and...i don't know...if people don't like what they're reading, then just close the page. or go elsewhere...where you like what you're reading. why leave an anonymous comment that helps no one and only makes you look petty and sad?

i live in so cal and i don't know anyone who doesn't like to talk about celebrity sightings. and thank goodness for that. if we were all so jaded that it became "tacky," that would be worse. am i right?)

but mostly (!), congrats to the holbs and to you, nat. both of you have made it through years and years (and years!) of school stuffs. it'll all be worth it :)

    xoxo, em

  26. yey now you can move to uk!!! why not?? xxx

  27. Are celeb sightings bragging? I don't think they count as name-dropping unless you are claiming to know them... Like "mr. T and big bird stopped by last night with a casserole...they are fans of my blog and were worried cause I haven't been getting any sleep since LO has been teething..."

Sightings are innocent and fun! I guess...you could be bragging...that your eyes work.

No fun on the homeless man...call 311 when that happens...they connect you to the local coppers who will come get that guy ASAP! You don't even have to stick around.

  29. Congrats to the hubby!

I live in Minneapolis, which means I've not only run into Prince (he's about 5'2", seriously) but also Garrison Keillor (sp?).

    It's a hectic, crazy life I lead...

    Sigh.
