  1. Cute! And sad that he grew up.
My baby is only 4 months old and I'm already trying to push out thoughts of her first birthday. It's painful!
    Good luck holding it together!

  3. Oh my goodness. Just wait until you are about to go to the hospital to have #2. I cried and cried before going to the hospital, mourning the end of my days as a pair with my little boy. I had no idea how sad I would be! Then I had my second little boy and found out that it was fun to be a little team. I still think so fondly of those days though. It makes me happy to see you enjoying every moment.

  6. my little boy turned 1 on Oct 21st, we went to the zoo and then had friends round. He was the star of the show and very kindly played with every gift given to him x we then had family party on the 22nd and again the little trooper revelled in all the attention. I felt sad but aso happy as i see him turning into a proper little boy trantrums and all. His favourite thing to do now that he can walk is go spotting the trucks and buses. It's so much fun (never thought i'd see the day i would say that)

  7. So nice to know there is a community of parents that all feel a little dread for their babies 1st birthday. Ellie will be 1 in Feb and I already think about it with nostalgia. Ha!

  16. Very cute! My kids LOVE taking photobooth pictures and seeing themselves on the screen. Such a fun way to document their candidness.

  18. I had twins so by the time they turned one I was a zombie and just happy we managed to stay alive. I sucked on their birthday party and had people over to Round Table Pizza with balloons and lots of pizza salad soda and cake. It was NOT a Martha moment. But I just remember high fiving my girls and feeling like it was a celebration that we did it! We made it a whole year! And don't let anyone tell ya hes not a baby anymore! He is! He'll be a baby for awhile yet. He's so cute Natalie. Seriously, I'm not a baby person really, but that Huck has just got something really special.

  23. I spent this weekend packing away old baby clothes and grown-out clothes from last season, and there is NOTHING sadder than folding away a sweet little top or (bawl, bawl, bawl) that first little sleep sack I bought Camryn, pink with an elephant on it, knowing there's a good chance the next baby that wears it will be Camryn's. I give away a lot of their stuff to friends in need (and sell it to Kid to Kid!), but I have a special box tucked away that holds my girls' most precious things I can't bear to part with. It truly rends your heart in two!!!
