Also, add a dash of cinnamon to your sammich. You won't regret it.

  5. I'm still debating over Pepsi v. Coke. Huck is so darn cute sitting up. I haven't added Nutella to my PBH's yet. Sounds divine though. Also, did you get highlights? Pretty fancy Miss!

  6. as delicious as the falafalwaffle sounds, and as intrigued as i am to the PB&H sandwich WITH NUTELLA, i have to say, the most delicious thing in this post has got to be your little huck-nugget. i seriously want to eat him. he is so gloriously pudgy that i think i might die!

but seriously...i'm trying the pb&h&nutella thing tomorrow. maybe even for breakfast...

  11. Gorgeous sunglasses and very chewy baby...how does he have any cheeks left? I think I would've eaten them! haha and my mother has been bringing back nutella from europe since I was little- I always thought I was the shiz in school because I had chocolate on my sandwiches- I didn't get lunchables or fruit snacks or chips or anything, but I got chocolate sandwiches! Sooo yummy..

  13. I drank Diet Coke for like 18 years and then my husband brought home a case of 1 litre Diet Pepsi's for fifty cents each and he told me I had to drink them. So I did.

I am a Diet Pepsi convert and I know that Diet Pepsi is true.

  17. new reader, loving your blog. adorable baby, adorable family. I am, however, frankly SHOCKED at your adopting CF Diet Pepsi as your beverage, because, as a dedicated CF Diet Coke drinker, I mean, ew. Of course, I am not particularly bothered by lack of sparkiness, as long as some semblance of sparkiness remains. Keep it up, I'll keep reading, and thank you!

  18. no!!! how dare you switch to diet pepsi! DC FOR LIFE! :)

  19. No. Just drink more responsibly=a little faster.
    and
    NO.
Just the thought of Nutella makes me nauseous.
    Love that top photo tho.

  21. Heya Natalie! I am a recently married, childless gal from Australia. I don't plan to have kids any time soon (I am still only 26, after all!); husband and I definitely want kids one day, God willing health and safety. AND YET, I am completely and utterly FASCINATED by your blog. What gives, am I right? (Heh heh.) Methinks the allure is in your awesome, entertaining writing and the way you look at the world through this prism of warmth and buoyancy. Look forward to more faboosh blog posts!

  22. I once drank 5-60oz diet cokes one day when I was living in rexburg. 60 cents a piece. It was basically dinner. I dreamt I went to the diet coke factory that night and there was this huge metal vat of soup with dark liquid diet coke syrup. Switched to diet pepsi the next day. Every once and awhile I go back for diet coke and dr pepper mix when I'm feeling like less bubbles. DP all the way!!!

On a more serious note. The picture of you nursing made me CRAVE a newborn. But what to do with my 3yr old and 1yr old when I am sick and then when I'm tired from a newborn...I know I'm getting baby hungry enough that I will surly tell myself it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be!!! Thank heavens for a bad memory and a spirit inside of me that craves baby and motherhood.

  23. Can we see more pics of your hair color? I have been thinking of doing something like this, but I am a chicken about changing my hair.

    Thanks!

  24. Ahh! I think I have a crush on your huckleberry. He is just the cutest thing ever.
I am now making a mental note that I want a very very fat baby.

Let me start by saying I think you are cute and your family is too. But I TOTALLY disagree with this nursing thing. Hear me out, I say if you think nursing in public is appropriate than you should be able to nurse during sunday session in the conference center like that bare boob. Or nurse like that when the church leaders walk by you on temple square. If that doesn't add perspective to this whole "movement" than I'll leave it be. But I think it's kinda wrong! There are little boys watching that don't need that show (as much as you try to deny it's inappropriateness I can still see skin and nipple in this pic) PORN! (okay just kidding) but you know what I mean. What's the harm with just carrying a nursing cover somewhere? Sure some babies bust out of it anyway but at least people know that you are TRYING to keep yourself modest! (and yes, I'm going to hide behind "anonymous" because I can.

  26. anonymous, i hear what you're saying. maybe this makes me immodest or indecent or something, but i'd nurse without a cover in front of the prophet AND his 13-year-old son (if he had one). i try to be really discreet, so i'd feel okay about it. i figure, just a century ago a bare ankle would cause this kind of commotion, and obviously an ankle is just an ankle. a boob can be just a boob too. in a perfect world? personally, my boobs are no more sacred to me than my elbow.

  27. also not once in this entire experiment did i show any more than 1/16th of my boob. which is about the amount you see all around you anyway. between huck's head, my shirt and the fact that i'm a small chested girl, it's really not that exciting of a thing to witness.

  28. I'm finally back to reading blogs again! Hooray!

You missed me; it's okay to admit it. :-)

Some thoughts from the Brain of Missy:
(Hey, you're the one who encouraged me to permanently delurk, so you can only blame yourself -- and perhaps the sunshine. Because it is SO WONDERFULLY SUNNY out today, and that kind of kicks my silliness up a notch or two.)
Now were was I? Oh yes, some thoughts:

    1. You changed the look of your blog! I have been gone a while, huh? I like the font in meet the rat, but I miss the pictures at the top. Is there a significance to the arrow feather design, or you just like it?

    2. Rain on the upper west side - Swoon! You're going to frame that picture, right?

    3. Huck and The HolbsDaddy - Huck looks so delightedly happy, he made my eyes crinkle up, and I love HD's face, too.

    4. Those round glasses make your face look totally different. Very cute, though!

    5. The opinionated turkey - FUNNY! :-)

    6. No way! Sitting already? That was fast!

    7. YOU HAVE A BABY!!!!!!!! :-D (Big cheesy grin!)

    8. I'm not seeing the point of the nursing in public. (HAHAHA! I just cracked myself up. That pun was totally not intended.) What are you trying to prove? How will you know that you have proved it? Is it more something for yourself than something to benefit the world in general? I'm just wondering what your thoughts are in this. :-)
