  2. Hey Nat - I tried it the other day, but totally couldn't pull it off. I think I'm too old. Looks adorable on you! And I voted!

  3. Voted! I didn't even recognize you with your hair like that! It looks cute though. Just different.

  4. You totally deserve to win!

Every time I read a blog post from you, I have to decide whether or not to love you or hate you afterward. Love because I love your blog, and hate because you're too pretty and I think I have a "girl crush" on you. Like, the "I want to BE her" kind of girl crush.

So anyway, it's really hard for me to feel so torn day after day!

  8. This is definitely a topic that closes to me so I’m happy that you wrote about it. I’m also happy that you did the subject some justice. Not only do you know a great deal about it, you know how to present in a way that people will want to read more. I’m so happy to know someone like you exists on the web.

  13. Ha I love that you wrote this! Just the other day I was gonna leave a totally stalkerish comment over at Naomi at Rockstar diaries asking her how does she get her hair like that!

Im annoyed as the messy bun on the head thing looks like effortless chic... but I'm determined its anything but!! I just cant get my bun to look cool!! My hair is quite long.. maybe I have too much!! gah! I almost want a step by step pictorial as I'm sure its a labour intensive do that just looks like I rolled out of bed!!

  15. i agree with jenni. i think you're already a stylish lady in the city with or without a top bun.

  16. I have been trying to wear my hair in a really high bun, but it's too short! I've been growing it out since October, and it's past my shoulders, but no good yet. It looks cute on you... maybe the headache was unrelated?? Try again!

What other styles are "happening" in NY right now? I'm from Boston but live in UT now- now exactly style central, right?

  26. I love love your hair on top of your head! It's currently my new fav hairstyle because it's so easy, and it's "trendy" - gotta love killing two birds with one stone! Also I did a post about my on-top-of-head-bun recently so I had to send some lovin your way for yours :)

  27. Love the hair. I wear it around my apartment like that but have never been brave enough to wear it out. Not because it's not a cute look but because, personally, it makes my head look square. ; )

  29. i know this is a little late in the game but i have just started reading your blog and rather stalkerishly (isn't most blog reading stalking anyway?) have been back tracking through your blogs posts.

anyway me too! for some reason a bun on top of the head always results in a headache about 5 hours later. but oh how good does it feel to take it out.

  30. love your shoes. and the shirt, pants, jacket and scarf combo. did you end up winning the most stylish mama thing? i'll never even be nominated for such a thing, and the reasons are at least twofold: 1) i'm not a mama, and 2) i'm not overly-stylish; i go more for comfort than anything else.

    this is all.
