  1. To be honest, I would be more upset about the pictures of your baby in the phone than the actual phone. I would be heart broken if I lost my i phone with all the pictures and videos of my little man! I hope your phone turns up, that is the WORST feeling. :(

  3. Swhoo! The emotions are all over the place! We all have days like this. Those days that are supposed to filled with fun and camaraderie only to be RUINED by some heartless person! And you try to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and salvage the day, but OH THOSE PRECIOUS PICTURES! Mad props to you, man. It looks as though the phone debacle didn't completely ruin the night with your cute-as-hell family.

  5. DRAT! That sucks AND blows.

Sorry to hear, dudette, especially because of all of Huck's pics. And, you know, the fact that IT WAS YOUR PHONE!

But it's great you got a new phone all the same!

  9. You need to install the Find My Iphone App! It's free! I left my husband's iphone on the counter at the Mexican restaurant last week. I thought we were going to get divorced. Luckily the guy that picked it up paid with his credit card and I was able to track him down and get it back.

I installed this on his phone as soon as we got it back!

  13. Oh no! I am so sorry, that sucks losing your phone and all those photos. You have some on the blog though, right? I only recently downloaded all 1,000 plus photos of my son's first year because I was so freaked out the phone would die and I would lose those photos! I'm on my third Iphone, not because of theft, but because they have all died and had weird issues. Anyway, ok, just thought of this story. When I lived in downtown Seattle, I was totally distracted shopping with my baby in the sling and trying to juggle bags and looking for shirts at the Gap for my husband to wear, when I felt the same freak-out moment you did when I was half-way down the street and realized I had left my purse upstairs at the Gap! Omg, I practically had a panic attack and was picturing my husband being like "how could you be so oblivious?" and me being all "but, the baby... ahhh". Luckily I ran up the stairs and it was still sitting there where I left it, wallet, credit cards and all. Whew.

Wish you had been so lucky! And sorry to hear about your dog, I know that's a difficult decision, but you have to do what is right for your little human. I had to leave behind my dog when we moved to Seattle, and it was horrible, I missed her every night, and then we moved back to Florida (long story) and I got her back. However some dogs are just not good with kids, and its better you let him go now than when Huck is crawling and tugging on his tail, my son relentlessly pulls on our dog's tail, it drives her nuts!

    Sorry, long over-sharing response!

  15. How rude! I can't believe he took your phone and then lied to you WITH A COP THERE TOO!

By the way, you've got the phrase "and they can't take that away" playing over and over in my head now. Thank you.

and of course i got the "no phone." reference. i even read it in her voice before i got to the "bonus points" part. duh, natalie.

All the way through this post I was thinking that even when things like this might frustrate our men, they know they can't get totally mad or disappointed in us because, seriously... don't we girls punish ourselves enough?? lol I'm glad you have a new phone. :)

  18. Having had a camera stolen, I know how sad it can be to lose dear photos. I wish there was a website for people to post "lost pictures"...sort of a, "Hey, thanks for the free camera- I'll be selling it for crack but I thought I'd at least "return" your pictures to you for your trouble." They could make a separate section of Craigslist- "photos from stolen goods." In the end, I figured if someone needed my camera that badly, they can have it, but it would be nice if folks would steal with some consideration.
