Blustery

She turns off the engine, pulls the sleeves of her sweater over her fingertips, and stares at the sky. Brooding, dark; layer upon layer of dense, rich clouds, hovering over her tiny city, as rain drops fall lightly into puddles below, mirroring the rapturous black. She opens the door against the gusts of sky and runs, dodging glassy pools on the pavement, hair whipping in the wind against skin, until doors that greet her swing open, calm and warm, and she is safe inside again.

  3. Oh, you've painted a lovely image. Makes me wish it was raining; I'd totally go out and play in it. -Alas...snow is in the forecast for tomorrow. *deep and heavy sigh*

I've been talking myself into not being annoyed once winter weather hits...still looking for some spark of excitement, and the ground outside is still snow-free. Heaven help me...

  16. Thanks for you nice comment on my blog.

And congrats on everyone else in the world realizing what an amazing blog you have! I feel kinda famous, through you. I can say, "Yeah, I know her. I used to live in Moscow (because now Moscow is very cool since you live there). I had her and Brandon over for dinner once and served her chicken. I found out later she has an aversion to poultry and felt pretty mortified. She's just as cool in person as she is on her blog."

You may be my only claim to fame. :)

By the way, what kind of camera do you have? I've been begging Todd for a nice one for Christmas but can't decide between a Canon or a Nikon.
