LET ME CLARIFY THIS

tomorrow i am giving a talk in church on fatherhood. yikes.

today i asked brandon how much he'd pay me to recite our favorite scene from the ghost and mr. chicken instead of actually saying something spiritual.  he didn't think it was such a good idea.

but i gotta tell you, the longer it takes me to think of something insightful, the more tempted i become...

  1. Hey! I have to speak as well. Luckily I spoke last year on Father's Day (yeah), so I will just be using the same talk. Good luck!

YES!!!! The Ghost and Mr Chicken is the most underrated movie EVER. The Farrelly Brothers movie Kingpin has a homage to it, although it's buried in the midst of a lot of VERY not-family-friendly stuff! You can never go wrong letting Don Knotts be your guide. Good luck!

  6. This is totally unrelated to your post, I was reading an older one and saw your stroller with the bassinet thingy on it...Which stroller do you have? (and baby is facing you too) Do you like it?
    Thank you!

  8. (sorry about the removal: I needed to insert a clarification!)

I cannnnnot believe you dug up this splendid bit from TG&MC, the scariest movie in the whole wide world when I was about 9 years old. Although, in that same era, I'm also pretty sure I saw Night of the Living Dead in a theater when I was spending the night with my friend. ANYWAY I just laughed my way through that clip. If only you would do a reprise of it at church! I guarantee the father's in the audience would get a giant charge out of this homage (pronounce that the French way, it's better).

Thank you for knowing about the ghost and mr. chicken. Sometimes I tell my husband about movies like that, that I watched as a kid and he thinks I'm INSANE.
