IF I WERE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT

i've been watching a lot of debates on the teevee (blerg) and as such i have given this matter a good deal of thought. and i have decided, in all terrible seriousness, that if i were to run for president, this would be my promotional headshot, and my television ads would go a little something like this:

"hi. my name is natalie! (enthusiasm cause that wins votes.)

i am pro babies, against obvious lip synching at the macy's thanksgiving parade, and, once president, i will make it illegal to record any further covers of "last christmas," because there are enough out there already and that song isn't even that good.

my name is natalie, and i approve this message."

p.s. did i tell you about the time i stalked a 30 rock filming location and saw alec baldwin and he's really really good looking?

the end.

  6. Was just in our hotel lobby listening to a terrible cover of last Christmas. Let me know if you need help launching your campaign! =)

  9. I wish I lived in a place where I could stalk a location to see famous people. Also, if you look at the pictures of Alec Baldwin when you have Last Christmas stuck in your head - and it's playing as if it's the soundtrack to the pictures - it's kind of funny.

  11. Seriously, why are there so many covers of "last Christmas????" I wonder this often at work when it's blasting all day long (Pandora finds every version, don't you fret)

  13. And he's a vegetarian (Alec Baldwin that is)....I don't know quite why this fascinates me, but there you have it.

I wish I were in New York and could stalk 30 Rock shoots. Although, I feel that if it were possible I would do something embarrassing a la Kenneth the Page to Jerry Seinfeld in the elevator.

    Lemon out!

  15. When we were in middle school, my sis had a SMOKIN' HOT CRUSH on the Alec. She had several postcards of him pinned up around her room. And one night my mom snuck in and left post-it thought bubbles on every postcard of Alec declaring his undying love for Katie. I think we still have them!

So, HANDS OFF, Natalie!!! Alec's taken. ;)

  16. Oh, and while my husband claims he NEVER exaggerates, his most hated Christmas song this year and every year is Paul McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time". We were in the car somewhere when it came on and Karl said, "I hate this song. I HATE THIS SONG. I'm not kidding--I'd rather hear someone wretching in the backseat for three minutes than sit through this song again." Even humming it gets me in trouble. Hee hee!
